HOUSTON — Due to worsening weather conditions in the Northeast, Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) announced travel options for customers whose flight plans may be affected by the weather.

Freezing precipitation is expected at Continental’s New York hub at Newark Liberty International Airport, its Cleveland hub at Hopkins International Airport and at several other airports in the region overnight and continuing to the following day. This forecast will force some delays and cancellations of flights at these airports Tuesday and continuing through Wednesday.

To avoid inconvenience, travelers scheduled on flights on Tuesday or Wednesday may wish to delay commencement of their trip.

Customers ticketed for travel through Feb. 15, to or from the affected areas in the Northeast, are permitted a one-time date or time change to their flights without penalty for rescheduled travel originating by Feb. 20. Customers wishing to reschedule their trips should contact Continental reservations at 800-525-0280.
