Planning for AIME 2010, 18th Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo, is well underway with a new look AIME website now online (www.aime.com.au) and a new advertising campaign soon to be launched.

Featuring a fresh new colour palette the campaign is the third in a three year strategy, using the themes aime higher (2008), aime for more (2009) and aime for the best (2010).

“Our marketing strategy positions AIME as the leader in the region, using themes that reflect the high standard of AIME substantiated by its hosted buyer program and audited results,” said Event Director, Rosemarie Sama. The advertising campaign and website will feature the new tag line ‘aime for the best’ which aligns the campaign with the RTE meetings and incentive exhibition portfolio branding of ‘best for business, best for education and best for networking’.

“Developed in conjunction with Australian advertising agency Tonic Communications, AIME’s branding and advertising over the last three years has become increasingly well recognised around the world,” Ms Sama said. “The AIME website has moved to a new CMS server in order to provide new online video content and even greater user friendliness. Visitor, exhibitor and hosted buyer newsletters will be available online and downloadable,” she said.

AIME 2010 will be held on 2 & 3 March at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Australia. The event is the largest of its kind in the region attracting more than 850 exhibitors and up to 500 hosted buyers.

Earlier this year, against a backdrop of economic uncertainty, AIME 2009 set new records. Audited results showed an increase in total attendance by 10% to 3,581, including 467 Hosted Buyers and 71 media. Exhibitor numbers set a new record with 854 exhibiting companies from 50 countries participating, an increase of 3.8% on 2008. First time exhibitors rose by 22% from 244 to 298.

AIME is organised by Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) on behalf of the Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau. RTE organises 14 events worldwide. AIME forms part of the RTE portfolio of Global Meetings and Incentives Events along with EIBTM (www.eibtm.com), GIBTM (www.gibtm.com), CIBTM (www.cibtm.com), AIBTM (www.aibtm.com ) and the ICCA Exhibition in association with ICCA Congress (www.iccaworld.com).
