Virgin Blue Airlines Group Chief Executive, Brett Godfrey, said: “We have no doubt that Liz’s extensive experience in one of the toughest markets in the world, along with her background in engineering and outstanding professional credentials will be of great benefit to the future of our business.

“Importantly, she has a strong history in developing and delivering cross business strategies and initiatives and the formation of strategic business relationships. “I’d like to warmly welcome Liz to the Virgin Blue family,“ Mr Godfrey added.

Prior to joining Monarch Airlines, Ms Savage achieved a Bachelor of Engineering (Hon) Degree as well as a Master of Science in Air Transport Management. She has also had an extensive career with Easyjet Plc including roles as the Business Development Manager, Integration Leader and, from 2003-06, was the Director of Business Development.
