The new ESPRIMO P Energy Saving Edition from Fujitsu Siemens Computers is setting new energy saving standards in everyday office life. This new Professional PC cuts energy consumption in half for the standard configuration. While a three-year-old system currently uses an average of 183kWh, the ESPRIMO Energy Saving Edition only needs 87kWh.
This is made possible by the combination of state-of-the-art AMD processor technology and proven Fujitsu Siemens Computers energy savings settings. The ESPRIMO Energy Saving Edition is available immediately, priced from €609 (e.g. in Germany, incl. VAT).
The Energy Saving Edition, which is based on the ESPRIMO P5615, runs with the latest Energy Efficient AMD Athlon™X2 BE processor with Cool’n’Quiet technology. Cool’n’Quiet only calls on the processor performance actually required. Furthermore, Fujitsu Siemens Computers supplies the new Business PC in its preset energy saving mode. The settings switch off the display after 10 minutes and the hard disk after 15 minutes. After 20 minutes the system changes to standby mode and after an hour the maximum energy saving mode is activated.
Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the leading European IT manufacturer and market leader in Germany, has been at the forefront of developing and producing environmentally friendly products for years. As early as 1992 the company issued the first guidelines on environmentally friendly product design. 1993 saw the launch of the first “Green PC” with an automatic energy saving function. The first energy saving ESPRIMO PC was developed in 2005, and in May 2006 the ESPRIMO E5615 was unveiled that enabled energy cost-savings of 25 percent compared with the energy required by a standard PC.
