Airbus announced a commitment to establish an A330 Freighter aircraft final assembly line (FAL) in Mobile, Alabama, if Northrop Grumman (supported by Airbus’s parent company, EADS) receives the order to build aerial refuelling tankers from the United States Air Force.
MNG Airlines, the largest Turkish cargo operator, has placed a firm order with Airbus for two A330-200Fs, plus one option. This follows the Memorandum of Understanding that was signed in January this year, following the industrial launch of the A330 Freighter.
