airBaltic to Launch Nonstop Flights from Riga to Pskov


On 1 September 2009, the Latvian airline airBaltic launches nonstop flights from Riga to the Russian city of Pskov, thus offering convenient transit connections to and from destinations in Western Europe, the CIS, Scandinavia and the Mediterranean region.

Riga – airBaltic will perform nonstop flights from Riga to Pskov twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The airline will operate the flight on Fokker 50 aircraft, and the flight will take one hour. One-way ticket prices will begin at LVL 26 (EUR 37), including airport and transaction fees. A flight schedule can be found on the company’s homepage, airbaltic.com.

Tero Taskila, Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic: „The Riga-Pskov route strengthens our foothold in Russia where we already serve Moscow, St.Petersburg and Kaliningrad. Pskov will attract greater numbers of tourists from Western Europe, Scandinavia, the Mediterranean region, and the CIS.“

So far during the year, airBaltic has added 11 new cities to its list of destinations from the base in Riga: Turku in Finland, Tromso in Norway, Linkoping in Sweden, Palanga and Kaunas in Lithuania, Tartu in Estonia, Pskov in Russia, Warsaw in Poland, Geneva in Switzerland, Dushanbe in Tajikistan, and Frankfurt in Germany.
