A strong second place finish in the global regional airline category

Kifisia  – AEGEAN, a Star Alliance member, once more scooped the award for „Best Regional Airline in Europe“ at the 2015 Skytrax World Airline Awards. The award took place on 16 June 2015 at the Paris International Airshow, and, as the organisers of the awards stated,  AEGEAN maintained their dominance in Europe and also secured a strong second place finish in the global regional airline category.

The vote was carried out in the framework of the Skytrax World Airline Awards, also known as the Passengers Choice Awards, from September 2014 – May 2015; more than 18.89 million passengers of more than 105 nationalities, rewarded AEGEAN for the high level services provided to its passengers. This Award is granted to AEGEAN for the 5th year in a row and for the 6th time since 2009.

World Airline Awards are highly prestigious excellence awards for the worldwide airline industry, of great importance for airlines, since they are exclusively based on the passengers‘ vote.

Dimitris Gerogiannis, AEGEAN’s CEO, stated: „We are honoured to receive the Best Regional Airline in Europe award for 2015, an award granted to Aegean for the fifth time in a row and sixth time since 2009. I would like to thank our passengers for their trust, as well as Aegean’s staff who respond in the best way possible to our demanding and challenging times. We will remain committed to our efforts in  improving the services we provide to our passengers. This very important international distinction is the result of our continuous effort to improve our competitiveness and proves that Greek companies can stand out internationally, in very demanding and competitive markets.
