Domestic demand grew 18% in November and load factor increased 2.6 p.p. versus 2008

In the international market demand growth was 13%, with load factor increase of 3.7 p.p.

São Paulo, December 2009 – (BOVESPA: TAMM4, NYSE:TAM) – Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) disclosed today the operating data for November 2009.
 
Along the month of November we observed once again the domestic market recovery, which grew 17.6% (in RPK), compared to November 2008, combined with a supply (in ASK) growth of 13.2%, increasing our load factor from 65.8% to 68.3%. Our market share in November for the domestic market was 43.9%. As we had mentioned before, since the last week of September, we initiated a readjustment movement of our yields and it resulted in a „high single digit“ growth in October compared to September. For November we observed another increase of a „mid single digit“ on top of October.
 
In the international market, our demand increased 13% when compared to November 2008. Our market share was 85.4% and our load factor reached 73.7%, a 3.7 p.p. increase compared to November 2008. For the international market that already presented a more rational and stronger recovery, we had a „low double digit“ growth in yield in dollars for October compared to September, and for November we observed a new increase of a „mid single digit“ versus October 2009.
