Air Baltic cancels all flights until 13:00 (10:00 UTC)


The Latvian airline Air Baltic has cancelled flights originally scheduled to leave Riga until 13:00 local time due to an ash cloud from a volcanic eruption in Iceland. Air Baltic regrets the inconvenience will do its best to assist passengers.

Riga –  airBaltic invites passengers to check departure and arrival status on www.airBaltic.com, airBaltic profile on Facebook and Twitter, as well as with airport information services, before going to the airport.

airBaltic will take every opportunity to assist customers in airports affected by the ash cloud.

airBaltic warns passengers that flight cancellations may extend after 13:00 (10:00 UTC) April 16. airBaltic flights scheduled to arrive in Riga until 13:00 from airports in Europe, Scandinavia, Middle East and the CIS are cancelled.

Passengers who booked travel on one of the cancelled flights can choose any of the next available flight at no extra charge or apply for a full refund of unused flight(s) tickets at any airBaltic Ticket office, travel agency where original tickets were issued, by calling or sending an e-mail to airBaltic reservation centre.

If your trip has lost purpose due to delay, and you do not require immediate change of flight to any nearest available flight, we kindly ask to contact airBaltic for free-of-charge rebooking any time later, so that our staff can assist passengers in urgent need.
