Yesterday Swedish truck manufacturer Volvo Trucks inaugurated its new Volvo Truck Center in Sofia.

The company’s truck sales in Bulgaria more than doubled last year and the strong growth continues in 2007 too. Since the first Volvo-owned workshop opened in Bulgaria in 2000, the number of Volvo trucks on Bulgarian roads has increased significantly.

“With this new Truck Center – built according to Volvo’s quality requirements – we will be able to offer our customers a whole range of services for their trucks. Our customers can expect high-quality support with a total solution for their vehicles. We hope to increase customer satisfaction by offering increased service capacity and efficiency, better availability of Genuine Volvo Parts and high quality in the work undertaken.” said Andreas Wahlgren, Managing Director Volvo Trucks Bulgaria.

The new Volvo Truck Center in Sofia has not only workshop facilities but also a spare parts warehouse with sufficient capacity to secure that parts are available whenever needed for maintenance and repairs in the workshop or out on the road in emergency situations. The new building will also house offices for sales of vehicles, service and financial solutions. In addition, an environmental station has been built to take care of all waste materials, in line with Volvo’s environmental policy.
