Joint business means new deal for transatlantic flyers
oneworld alliance warmly welcomes and strongly supports the filing of an application with the US Department of Transportation by its members American Airlines and Japan Airlines for anti-trust immunity for a joint business agreement between North America and Asia. The airlines also will notify Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Tourism of their transaction.
Malév Hungarian Airlines, which joined the alliance on 1 April, is to start code-sharing with American Airlines and fellow new oneworld recruit Royal Jordanian, smoothing connections between their route networks.
American Airlines will up-grade its service between Rome and the USA to year-round from mid April. It flies to the Eternal City from both Chicago O’Hare and New York JFK, using two-class Boeing 767-300s.
