Royal Air Maroc has adopted Boeing’s [NYSE: BA] Web-based maintenance solution, Maintenance Performance Toolbox.

SEATTLE — The innovative suite of aircraft maintenance software solutions is the industry’s first set of productivity tools designed to unify an airline’s maintenance and engineering operations from start to finish.

Based in Morocco, Royal Air Maroc will use two popular modules of Toolbox, Library and Authoring, to help maintain its fleet of 37 Boeing airplanes, including Classic 737s, Next-Generation 737s, 757s, 767s and one 747-400.

Library gives airlines easy access to current and critical maintenance information, while Authoring allows the airlines to modify and update formal maintenance procedures based upon its own experiences and requirements.

In all, Toolbox today comprises five different tools in one easy-to-use
suite that can help streamline a wide range of aviation maintenance and
repair activities from managing technical publications and training to
performing core maintenance and engineering tasks. Airlines are free to
pick and choose from among capabilities to supplement their operations as
they deem necessary.

"Royal Air Maroc is in a keenly competitive aviation market, and
Maintenance Performance Toolbox is an answer to our need to make our
maintenance operations as efficient as possible," said Mohamed Bellatig,
Royal Air Maroc's senior vice president of Engineering and Maintenance.
"We're glad to be standing with Boeing as we constantly work to improve
the reliability and availability of our fleet to the benefit of our
customers."

Accessible via an Internet browser as a secured, hosted service,
Toolbox is a key component within Boeing's evolving portfolio of
performance-enhancing digital tools for aircraft maintenance. Boeing will
provide reliable access to the Library and Authoring tools for Royal Air
Maroc through its secure Internet portal, MyBoeingFleet.com. Only an
Internet connection, password and computer are necessary to access the
system.

"Maintenance Performance Toolbox is one of the key Boeing solutions to
help airlines revolutionize the way they manage maintenance information,
allowing them to improve reliability and aircraft availability while
reducing their operating costs," said Dan da Silva, vice president of
Sales and Marketing for Boeing's Commercial Aviation Services. "We're
pleased that a respected airline like Royal Air Maroc has chosen Toolbox
to help turn its information into action."
