Airbus‘ A318 Elite, the newest member of the Airbus Corporate Jetliner (ACJ) Family, will be displayed at NBAA for the first time, introducing new standards of comfort, elegance and spaciousness to the mid-size top-of-the-line market.
The aircraft being displayed is the first ever produced, and was delivered to Swiss VVIP charter operator Comlux in May this year. It made its first non-stop transatlantic flights shortly afterward, and has since been in strong demand with customers for flights to many parts of the world.
Airbus‘ A318 Elite features seating for 18 passengers in a fresh and stylish cabin layout created by Lufthansa Technik, which contrasts light and dark colours in a business-like interior with strong appeal, great privacy and attractive practicality.
With a floorspace of almost 75 sq metres/800 sq ft, Airbus‘ A318 Elite brings more spaciousness and ease of movement than any other aircraft in its price range, plus a cabin that is more „apartment“ than „alleyway“ in shape and size.
The A318 Elite comes in two standardised layouts – the other seats 14 passengers – delivering the same wide and tall cabin and modern design as the rest of the Airbus ACJ Family, but in a more affordable package.
And with 4,100 nm/7,600 km of range with eight passengers, it has the range to fly nonstop from London to New York, transcontinentally within the US, from Europe to the Middle East, and throughout Asia.
Already well established in the USA, where Petters Group Worldwide has ordered six, Airbus‘ A318 Elite has also sold well in Europe and the Middle East and is increasingly in demand for its unique blend of spaciousness and modernity.
Total sales of the Airbus 320 Family, from which the ACJ Family is derived, now stand at more than 5,300 aircraft.
